Cuckmere Haven. IndiVISIBLE

At its core, the collection of images for IndiVISIBLE, has gifted me the opportunity to reconnect with my photography practice.

The reminder to take a moment, to be present.

To connect. 

Each photograph captures a moment in time in an everchanging landscape.  

The cliffs, now tumbling into the ocean, a fleeting bird or the wisp of a cloud, soon to pass.

A decaying breakwater or the renewed sea defences – with their fresh hope to hold back the passage of time. 

Too vast to capture in entirety, the chalk close-ups give a window into what lies beneath – before they are washed away by the rising tides. 

Noticing the shapes of the Sussex South Downs – from the angular architecture details to the softer spheres of the buoys, capture the beauty in the mundane – leaning into to my usual practice & the hope to populate a world that otherwise so often churns with industry, void of human touch. 

The Cuckmere River meandering majestically and the Seven Sisters in the distance at low tide, offer scenes of tranquillity – a moment of reflection at the beauty before us. 

In an everchanging, fast-paced life, these moments are rare –

But the opportunity to connect is always there…
